North Padre Island borders Mustang Island and Port Aransas to the North and the Padre Island National Seashore to the South. It is bound on the West by the Laguna Madre Bay and on the East by the Gulf of Mexico.
By road from the North, Hwy. 37 connects to Hwy. 358 (S. Padre Island Drive), which brings traffic across the JFK Bridge to Padre Island. Access to Padre Island is also possible via Hwy. 361 from Port Aransas after crossing the Corpus Christi Shipping Channel by ferry.
